Camp Dona Day 2

Waking up the next morning to the brightest of sunshine, viewing the mountain range in all colors the highest peaks still carrying the last snow from the past cold days into the summer, I make my way on the road again walking trying to find milk for my morning coffee. Hopping into a car dropping me off at the first tiny shop, I enter look at the owner, she's smiling, I smile we know each other. Happy to meet again after I have been in there on the road on Sunday buying all kinds of snacks. When despite all her efforts I wasn't able to get milk, leaving her with a disappointed face of not having the chance to get me what I had come for, I made my way to the neighboring shop again trying my luck explaining with hands and feet  what I wanted until the curious looking woman goes to the back and gets me a quarter of a bottle of her private milk, puts a glass of fresh walnuts in syrup on the counter, and points me that it's from the region. I take it, pay and walk back in the blistering morning sun enjoying my coffee together with Dona who had already been waiting for me. My heart.

Making a list with things she needs to cook, preparing for a guests dinner, rejecting her money at least five times before I take off to town. Returning to the ice cream shop to pay off my debt for the ice cream knowing how difficult it would be with all the Albanian hospitality to make him accept my money I left the market smiling on to the city grabbing all the things I could find for dinner and some more finishing off at the vegetable stand when a young traveler shows up next to me doing the same as me.

I look at him, asking him where he's from, Belgium, our conversation starting, he takes me to his camper van, driving me back to the camp, happy Dona surprised seeing me getting out of the Van, we sit down for a glass of wine exchanging our travel experiences with him as the expert for this beautiful area of Albania, having traveled it for 20 times including photography projects.

Having already reached late afternoon again I start cutting vegetables as Dona had  magically thrown together more incredible slow cooked local dishes before, making dinner for one guest, receiveing her well deserved reward, I go stretching out my body, moving around in the grass, through the wind in the last rays of light before dinner together with my camping friends, just in time my new Belgian friend from the vegetable market returns and joins us for the rest of the night.

As puzzle pieces of life fall together once again the Universe showing itself in its highest quality of possibilities and realizations we laugh along the twist and turns of life in its secret purposes, the night finding its ending in a one on one talk about the topics of life, moving through our hearts at all times, longing, searching, desire, pain, the journey, our journey, being together, having found yet another inspiring companion on the road.
